Project Overview:
WireCrafters partnered with McGee Storage to deliver a secure DEA cage solution for an undisclosed customer in Atlanta, a specialized Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization with over 50 years of experience in oral solid and non-sterile oral liquid dosage forms. With expertise spanning formulation development to commercialization and a focus on pediatric, geriatric, and controlled-substance products, the facility requires secure, compliant storage that meets regulatory standards and supports operational efficiency. By working closely with McGee Storage, WireCrafters provided a high-quality, expandable DEA cage system that meets strict security requirements while supporting the customer’s ongoing growth.
Customer Description
As the customer continued to expand, additional secure storage became necessary to support its growing operations, leading to the installation of another DEA Cage. The original cage was uniquely designed to integrate both warehouse and office spaces into a single, multi-level enclosure. It smoothly connects the office hallway to the warehouse, creating a secure yet accessible environment across the facility. All photos showcase this expansive, single enclosure and how it transitions between spaces. With the recent expansion, the new section features a sliding door equipped with WireCrafters’ hydraulic door closer for controlled, reliable operation. The locking system uses a Maglock, offering enhanced security and controlled access to meet DEA standards while maintaining workflow efficiency.
