Project Overview:
WireCrafters partnered with Northwest Handling Systems to deliver a reliable physical barrier solution for Total Wine, supporting loss prevention efforts across more than 20 store locations nationwide. The project focused on installing rack enclosures within storage rooms to help secure high-dollar inventory from theft while maintaining visibility and accessibility for authorized staff. With consistency, durability, and scalability as key requirements, this solution enabled Total Wine to standardize protection for valuable products across multiple facilities.
Customer Description
Total Wine identified a need to protect high-dollar wine, spirits, and beer temporarily stored in back-of-house areas while awaiting placement on the sales floor. These products are often staged on pallet racks in storage rooms, creating a risk for internal loss if not adequately secured. To address this challenge, most locations required a rack enclosure covering two bays of pallet rack, providing a physical barrier around the stored inventory. The enclosures offered a practical way to keep valuable products secure until they were ready to be moved to the retail floor, while still allowing straightforward access through a customer-provided padlock when restocking was needed.
