Securing A Government Facility with a Custom Driver Cage
Project Overview:
WireCrafters partnered with WW Cannon to deliver a secure solution for a government facility that required a large driver cage. The project required careful consideration of both safety and security, as the facility handles sensitive operations and needed a way to control access to restricted areas. By combining WW Cannon’s expertise in material handling with WireCrafters’ proven wire partition systems, the team designed and implemented a driver cage that not only met the facility’s stringent security requirements but also enhanced overall operational efficiency.
Customer Description
The primary issue the customer faced stemmed from uncontrolled access points. The facility’s open-access receiving area allowed non-employees, including truck drivers and couriers, to walk directly into operational zones. This presented serious security risks and safety hazards, including exposure to restricted equipment areas and sensitive operations, increased liability from untrained personnel entering forklift traffic zones, risk of inventory tampering or theft due to unmonitored access, and potential compliance violations under government security protocols. Without a way to restrict access and direct outside personnel to a designated area, the facility was left vulnerable to both safety incidents and costly compliance issues.
