Future Welders Take the Next Step at PRP Signing Day

At WireCrafters, we don’t just build products; we help build careers. That mission came to life again this year at Pleasure Ridge Park (PRP) High School during our annual Signing Day, where five graduating seniors officially accepted full-time positions with our team.

Congratulations to Matthew Elder, Ariana Woosley, Nataly Leon, Liberty Koerner, and Xavier Bailey.

These students have spent their senior year in PRP’s welding co-op program, gaining hands-on experience in the classroom and on our production floor. Their hard work, skill, and commitment have earned them a place on our team, and we’re excited to watch their careers unfold.

“Signing Day between PRP and WireCrafters really shows what a mutually beneficial relationship this has grown into,” said WireCrafters’ Operation Manager Chad Anglin. “We are offering our sixth consecutive class of seniors full-time opportunities after having them co-op during their senior year of high school. More than 25% of our welding staff is made up directly from this program. These students are already part of our culture and help continue to shape that culture. WireCrafters would not have been able to have sustained growth without this partnership. Dave McCoy and his other teachers (his son Mike and best friend Greg Jupin) continue to turn out such great welders and great people. On top of all that, from a personal standpoint, this is by far the most rewarding accomplishment of my career. To see how this has blossomed–it has far exceeded my initial expectations!”

For these students, Signing Day is more than a ceremonial event. It marks a proper transition from education into a skilled trade career with a company that believes in its young employees’ potential. These students are joining a workplace that values mentorship, growth, and the people behind the welds.

We proudly welcome Matthew, Ariana, Nataly, Liberty, and Xavier to the WireCrafters family. Your journey is just beginning, and we’re honored to be a part of it!
