This week’s episode of Mondays with Milt takes us back to where it all began for Milt, long before his career at WireCrafters. He walks us through his very first job at what was then Save a Step Food Mart on Strawberry Lane, located just down the road from the WireCrafters facility.
In September 1980, while Milt was still in college and working at the convenience store, a life-changing moment occurred. Marty Severance, who was the president of WireCrafters at the time, stopped in and struck up a conversation with Milt while he was working. The brief interaction led to Marty offering Milt a job at WireCrafters.
Milt shares the background of how that simple conversation opened the door to a 45-year career with the company. It is a powerful reminder that opportunities often come from unexpected places and that meaningful relationships can begin in the most ordinary moments.
