Spreading Holiday Cheer with Our Annual Toy Drive
The holiday season is a time for giving, and WireCrafters was thrilled to host our seventh annual toy drive. As part of our commitment to making a difference in our community, we collected toys to bring smiles to children in need. This year, we partnered with Kosair for Kids, which allowed us to create magical moments for families during the holiday season.
Employees brought new, unwrapped toys to the designated collection boxes in WireCrafters’ facility. Our team raised more than $2,000, which WireCrafters generously matched.
"I have been a Shriner for more than 25 years and Shriners have a long history of supporting children, especially those with orthopedic and burn care challenges,” said WireCrafters’ IT Director Dwight Maddox. “Louisville is blessed to have their own Shrine affiliated charity in addition to Shriners International; Kosair for Kids, formally known as Kosair Charities. For more than eight years I have been honored to serve on the Board of Directors for Kosair for Kids. We help children live up to their full potential through direct support via our FInancial Assistance program, as well as grants that are awarded to local agencies that help children directly. The toys collected for Kosair Kids are distributed at the annual Kosair for Kids Holiday party. I personally appreciate the generosity and thoughtfulness for the whole WireCrafters Team!"
Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, we gathered a wide variety of toys suitable for children of all ages, from stuffed animals and board games to action figures and art supplies. These thoughtful gifts and donations brightened the holidays for countless children in our community.
Kosair Charities has been a beacon of hope for children and families across the region, and WireCrafters is proud to support its mission. By hosting the toy drive for Kosair for Kids, we helped ensure every child experienced the joy and magic of the season.
