Customer Description
The customer sought a secure and visually appealing solution to enclose and protect external natural gas meters in a residential and mixed-use urban development. The primary challenges included ensuring the gas meters could still be visually inspected, preventing unauthorized access or tampering, and maintaining an aesthetic that complemented the surrounding neighborhood. Piedmont Gas approved our wire partition with ½” x ½” square mesh for meeting all the criteria. The mesh size allowed for complete visibility of the meters, satisfied inspection requirements, and offered a durable barrier that deterred intrusion. Additionally, the sleek design blended seamlessly with the urban architecture, making it an ideal fit for the development. As a result, these “gas gates” have become a requested feature at multiple locations of the customer’s projects across Nashville.
