Six Gauge Woven Wire Episode Transcript

- Welcome to another episode of "Mondays With Milt." I'm out on the production floor, and I noticed that we've got some of our heavy six-gauge, two-inch square woven wire. So this six-gauge, it is quite a bit heavier than our standard 10-gauge wire. And the applications for this six-gauge, typically you're going to find it under a specification that the U.S. government needs. When they have import/export areas, they wanna go with a much heavier six-gauge wire with a two-inch square opening, just to give the most safe and security that they can for whatever's bein' stored inside that cage, coming in to a military base or an import/export type area. So if you've got an application where the standard mesh, you're not sure if it's going to work for ya, and you want really heavy security, that's when you come to the six-gauge wire for your storage cage. We also weld that into an inch-and-a-half angle, where typically we would go with an inch-and-a-quarter angle. So everything about the partition is going to be a little bit heavier, more secure for whatever you're storing.
